Jazz Motorsports had humble beginnings as a small independent Personal Watercraft racing team founded in 1998. Over the next few years, Jazz Motorsports founder Curt Jazwiecki began building race vehicles for non-race team members. In 2000, because of a desire to help riders, racers, and enthusiasts, Jazz Motorsports was officially formed in Quincy, Michigan. Jazz now offered their top notch customer service and performance knowledge to the world.

The next four years was a period of rapid growth. Because of both personal interest and customer requests, Jazz Motorsports broadened its horizons to more than just the sport of personal watercraft. In 2004, Jazz brought on the top sportbike, ATV, motocross, and snowmobile parts lines. The same year brought with it the grand opening of a new shop, headquarters, and retail store located in Bryan, Ohio.


In November of 2004, Curt was asked to come back to help in the family business. His passion remained in the motorsports industry, however, loyalty to his family had to come first. For over a year, his time was split between Jazz Motorsports and the family business. In 2006, Curt's successful involvement with the family business was taking a larger role, and he was spending more time helping his father than he was on Jazz Motorsports. He knew he needed someone at the helm of Jazz to keep the passion alive. In March of 2006, Jazz Motorsports was sold to one of its long time customers.

The new owner had the passion, but not the follow-through. By late 2007, it was apparent that something needed to be done to save Jazz Motorsports' reputation of quality and fast customer service. In December of 2007, GoJaz LLC was formed by Brian Godlewski and the original founders of Jazz Motorsports. Now headquartered in Maumee, Ohio, GoJaz LLC bought the rights to the name, website, and intellectual property with the goal of offering the largest selection of aftermarket performance parts and providing the best customer service in the industry.

Through 2008 the team at Jazz worked hard to re-establish Jazz Motorsports as a leader in the aftermarket parts industry, and succeeded. The core value of 110% customer service is always held in the highest regard; Jazz makes sure its customers are happy. The Jazz team has also continued and expanded its involvement in the industry by supporting the sports. You will likely see a Jazz team member at a race, trackday, charity ride, bike night, or just out riding a sportbike, jet-ski, snowmobile, dirt bike, or ATV. We will continue our commitment to customer service, and the sport, as we grow. Check back often as new things are always happening.

UPDATE

Where have the last 4 years gone? Now its 2011 and things have been growing like an Arizona wildfire. Since 2008 Jazz Motorsports has expanded operations without any end in sight. We are now housed in a 4,000 sqaure foot retail facility in Maumee, Ohio featuring a newly opened service department. We have been working diligently for the last few years to enhance our product and services, and our growth speaks for itself. In our previous update we would continue our commitement to customer service, the industry, and our customers and we have done just that. With our awesome team of professional sales, service, and customer support staff we will continue our plight to become the largest powersports parts dealer in the world! Curtis Jazwiecki, co-owner and Founder of Jazz Motorsports. Curt is originally from the Toledo area and has been active in the powersports industry since he was a child. Daily, Curt is active in our website development, ongoing operations planning, and special events planning. When not working, you're likely to see him at the race track on his 2007 Yamaha R6, or out on one of the Great Lakes competitively sailing. Curt originally owned, managed, wrenched, and did customer service at Jazz until he sold it in 2004. Now with more prespective and experience, he's still in the shop daily helping to ensure that we run like a top.

Brian Godlewski, co-owner and Operatins Manager for Jazz Motorsports. Brian is originally from Toledo and enjoys long walks on the beach, chick flicks, and... no not really. Brian is at the shop almost everyday ensuring that things are going smoothly. He does everything from answer sales calls, to ship packages, to mop the floors. Personally, Brian has owned motorcycles, jetskis, dirtbikes, and snowmobiles, and loves the industry. Brian is definately a clown and is usually has something up his sleeve. When not at work Brian enjoys being on the water, fishing, and helping out at the track. Brian, known to some as the "Panda with Glasses" is here to make sure that you have an awesome experience (make sure that you make fun of his ever receeding hairline if you get him on the phone).

Keith Sechler, Shipping Manager and Ebay Extraordinare. Keith has been with Jazz Motorsports for nearly 3 years, and is definately in tune with our watercraft customers. Keith currently owns a new, highly modified Superjet, and is always wrenching on it. You'll find him at the shop Monday to Friday and at the lake almot every Saturday and Sunday. On top of his day to day duties, Keith is our go to guy for renovations and upgrades. He was an instrumental part of the new store contruction, and hand built our sales counter, desks, sign, and racks. Soft spoken with an awesome haircut, Keith goes out of his way everyday to make sure that our customers get what they need on time.

James LeForce, Assistant Sales Manager and all around jokester. James, known by some as "James the Raptor" is easily identified on the phone by his extensive knowledge of sportbike parts and accessories and an overwhelmingly monotone voice. He's usually on hand during the week and most Saturdays. Jimmy is currently attending college for business management on top of working at the shop and riding when he gets a chance.
